Harris Hyman IV

Managing Partner

Terry Hyman is the Managing Partner of Northwood Healthcare Partners. He is a seasoned private equity investor with over 30 years of experience working with healthcare companies. During that time, he has worked with companies in almost every subsector of healthcare services and has a demonstrated track record of actively working with management teams to help build industry-leading companies. Terry has served on the Board of Directors of numerous public and private healthcare companies, including MedAssets, Intermedix, United BioSource, Smile Doctors and EyeSouth Partners, and Summit Behavioral Health.


Prior to founding Northwood, Terry was a Managing Director at Flexpoint Ford, an industry focused private equity firm where he was one of two senior partners leading the firm’s healthcare investment activity. Previously, he founded and built the healthcare effort for another middle market private equity firm. Terry began his career in investment banking and worked in the business for over 19 years. He led the healthcare M&A business for Credit Suisse First Boston and successfully advised companies on over $20 billion of transactions.


He has been active on a number of not-for-profit boards, including Trout Unlimited, where he serves as Chairman of the Board, and MedStar Health, a $4 billion health system. Terry graduated, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School.


Martin S. Rash

Marty Rash is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RCCH HealthCare Partners. Prior to the forming of RCCH, Mr. Rash was Chairman and CEO of RegionalCare Hospital Partners. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Province Healthcare, a $1 billion NYSE company that owned 21 hospitals and managed more than 50 facilities. Prior to his tenure at Province Healthcare, Mr. Rash served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Community Health Systems where he led the growth of the company from 10 to 41 hospitals in 17 states. Mr. Rash’s experience and leadership includes membership on the development team of the largest hospice company in the country and a long-term board seat on the largest Medicare Advantage program in the United States. He is a past chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals and has also previously served as Chairman of the Nashville Healthcare Council. He holds both a bachelor’s and MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.

Patricia A. Farrell

Pat Farrell was with Aetna for 23 years and served as Senior Vice President responsible for Aetna’s National, Government and Specialty businesses. In that role, Ms. Farrell had responsibility for a $17 billion business that included National Accounts, Public & Labor, Medicaid and the Federal Employee Benefits Programs as well as Aetna’s Specialty offerings, including Dental, Life, Vision, Pharmacy, Disability, Behavioral Health, Employee Assistance Programs and Aetna’s self-funded third party administration business. She also served on the Chairman’s Executive Committee. Previously, Ms. Farrell was Senior Vice President of National and International Business Solutions. These businesses served the needs of the nation's largest employers, as well as the federal government, state Medicaid programs, and businesses based in the United States and worldwide with employees in global locations. Ms. Farrell graduated from Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Quinnipiac University, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Pamela J. Pure

Pamela Pure has worked in healthcare IT for over 25 years and was most recently the CEO of HealthMEDX. Prior to joining HealthMEDX, Pam was President of McKesson Technology Solutions, at the time, the largest healthcare information technology/services business in the world. During her tenure at McKesson, the business grew from $900 million to $3 billion in revenue. Prior to joining McKesson, Pam served in multiple executive roles in operations, product management, marketing and development. She has held senior leadership positions at IDX, Shared Medical Systems and Channel Health. Pam has been recognized as Atlanta Woman of the Year in Technology and as one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women in Healthcare. She serves on the Board of M*Modal and Bivarus and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
